Description

The rose has been coming to me recently. I have always used rose in my herbal practice, but when it comes to flowers and what connects to my center, she hasn’t been the one—until now.

For me, the rose is a reminder of strength, of staying in a place of ease. She reminds me to be gentle, to open slowly. To really slow down, for the importance of slowing down. To stay connected to my heart center.

The rose is glamorous, romantic—painful if you grab her quickly and without attention to detail. She is a reminder to return to slowness and ease.

I’m at a point in my life where living at ease in my body, as much as possible, is a necessity and an act of rebellion. When everything else around me tells me to do the opposite—when society demands the opposite—I step into my feminine power and say: actually, I will go slow. I will not rush. I will live in ease and beauty. I will notice all there is to see—thorns and all.

With this journal series, I put the intention and love of coming back to this.

May you be reminded of the power of feeling at ease in your body. What is possible? What would it look like to feel relaxed within yourself?

Remember—you get to write your story and shape your reality. You have so much power to push against what’s presented to you. And maybe, fighting looks like not participating in the lies and the stress of it all.
